I think we can safely say that 2020 has been one of the most challenging years for people throughout the UK and around the world to endure in decades. It has caused stress, anxiety, depression, and paranoia in seemingly normal people who started the year out with hopes and dreams of achieving all of their New Year’s resolutions.
Many of us wanted to change careers, get a better paying job, lose weight and get in shape, or just make some life improvements. What we got was COVID-19, social distancing, face masks, selfquarantines, and lockdowns. It has been an incredibly stressful year, indeed. Still, we carried on and we persevered. Our key workers in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, those importing goods on the docks, and everyone else who pulled together to help get us through the year deserve a big thank you. From us, from the people they have served, and everyone whose lives they have affected, our key workers deserve thanks.
