Elf on a Shelf
🎄 Our Office Elf: Seasonal Cheer? 🤔
It’s that time of year again! The tinsel is up, the smell of hot coffee faintly wafts from the kitchen, and a certain mischievous employee has taken up residence: Ernie the Office Elf.
Gone are the days when these little guys just sat passively on a mantelpiece. Ernie is an active participant in our 8.30 to 4.30 grind, and frankly, he’s starting to raise a few HR questions.
The Good, The Bad, and The Tiny Tearaway!
Ernie seems to think he’s the joker of our pack. We’ve caught him:
- 💻 Breaking and entering: We found him after he fell off his sleigh, had to write an accident report for that one.
- ☕️ Mopping the floor after he spilt the milk: Taking over our Hygiene Consultant’s job!
- 📋 Hung over after the Christmas night out: He hasn’t moved from the kitchen all week in his drunken stupor.
Is Ernie a morale booster or a tiny, felt informant?
The truth is, while he occasionally disrupts productivity (and steals all the good office snacks), Ernie provides some much-needed seasonal levity. His weekly antics are a great conversation starter and force us all to take a moment and laugh during the pre-holiday rush.
So, while we may need to schedule an official performance review in January, for now, we’ll tolerate the tiny, glittery menace.
